More think about money due to credit crunch
22 September 2008 14:30
Over half of people think about money more than they did this time last year, a survey has revealed.
Research by The Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N and P) discovered that 57 per cent of respondents had more concerns over money than they did this time last year.
The study also revealed that of the 59 per cent of people who said that they visit a financial advisor, 93 per cent stated they used an independent one.
Judith Dove, N and P's head of sales for its Financial Advice Service, said that many people still associated independent financial advisors with investments, when they can actually offer valuable help, such as pensions and life protection plans.
She added that it was important to get as wide a view as possible on the financial options that were available.
A growing number of FTSE 350 companies have made special contributions to pension schemes in the last 12 months, an article in Personal Computer World noted today (September 22nd).
